5-6-12 Well things are going well but time sure flies now a days. I have 2 more days of classes left!! Three more finals and I am done with classes FOREVER!! Lol I love the sound of that. We are leaving for our family vacation next week too. I am excited to be back on the beach again. It’s a much needed break before I start working May 21^st for my fieldwork. We found out we are having a BOY!! His name will be Brian Jr but we are going to call him Beaux (Bo). I am so excited to meet him in October. I have really started feeling him move a lot this past week and I just love every little kick and hit I feel. Ava is doing well and really enjoys school. She was sick last week but is all better now. I think she is going to be really bored this summer but hopefully it won’t be too bad for her.

3-22-12 Ava did really well with her surgery. She came through it all and her tonsils are now gone!! The doctor thinks she will do much better now. We are also happy to announce we are pregnant with baby #3. I am due October 6th, 2012. We have had 2 ultrasounds so far and baby is looking good. I go start seeing a specialist to look for signs of Joubert in April. We are just going to do the ultrasounds for testing. I have been extremely busy with school. I had a week of fieldwork last week and loved it so much. I go again next week and Ava is out of school next week for Spring Break. I have my spring break after next week. I go back to the OB that week as well. I am hoping we might find out the sex on the appointment I have April 5th. I would be far enough they could tell so I am not sure why they wouldn't but some doctors don't like to tell you that early. If not we will find out in another 3 weeks from then. I am really feeling boy. I really want another girl but I would be happy with either. Really all I want is the baby to be healthy.

2/17/12- I have been really busy with school. Ava is getting her tonsils taken out on March 8th. She has been sick several times now with tonsilitis and her tonsils are huge. Other then that not much going on. Not looking forward to the 24th, it will be 3 yrs since we lost Jakob. I so hate the reminder it brings.

12-17-11 Finally I have a break from school!! A full month off. I ended up with 4 A's and 2 B's in my classes. I wish I would have gotten all A's but I am happy with that. That was the most stressful semester of my life. Only one more semester of classes left!! Woohoo!! This time next year I will be graduating. Ava is home for the next 2 weeks with me. Its nice to have that time to visit with family and relax.

11-25-11 Well things have been extremely busy for us lately. School has been very hard this semester. I have been working hard to keep good grades. I think I will end up with mainly B's but I am okay with that. I really wanted A's but soon found that to be impossible. I have really enjoyed my fieldwork experiences at school. I am so ready for a good break though. This week was not enough for me. I only have 2 and half weeks of school left when I return Monday and then we are out for a month. I am so excited only one more semester of class time then its fieldwork for 16 weeks and I am done!! I will be able to work by next October. Ava is well and growing like a weed. She loves her school and she really wants to learn how to read. I have been missing my Jakob badly and I have had to deal with a lot of grief while going through school. I am finally coming out the other side and starting to deal better with my grief though. Jakob is my motivation for being a therapist. I have learned so much from him and wish I could bring him back to me. Ava has been experiencing grief as well lately about her bubba. We have been showing her videos of him and we always talk about him so she won't forget him. Thanksgiving is always hard and bittersweet for me. The last year Jakob was alive we had such a wonderful Thanksgiving that year. He was home for a whole week from his school and we had such a wonderful time with him. He was happy and healthy during that week.

8-24-11 Back in school. Ava started her first day at her new school in Sheveport. I can tell a huge difference in her after less than 2 weeks of being there. Her self esteem is growing and she is trying new things and doing more. She is helping me clean now and minding much better. She cleaned her room for the first time by herself the other day. Now she is keeping it clean on a daily basis. Before I would always have to clean her room and she would never help. She also is now dressing herself, brushing her teeth and her hair alone. (I back it all up but you know). I am so proud of her!! The school is really helping things. She really loves and and she always tells me to come later so she can play more. They keep her tell I get out of school so she gets a more daycare type setting after 2:30pm. My school is back going again as well so I probably will be very busy with all 6 of my classes. I am just ready for the next year to be over so I can start my career.

5-30-11 Well I am on my summer break right now from school. Ava is as well. We got to go to FL last week. We had a wonderful family vacation. The water was so crystal clear when we got there. I also found out 2 days ago I got ACCEPTED into clinicals!! Woohoo!! I am so excited about it. I start back to school June 28th with clinicals starting then. I am so excited! Ava starts at the Montessori school in August.

3-19-11 Finally spring is here!! It was 83F today here and it was so nice! Ava had spring photos done at school on Friday. I can’t wait to see them. I also took some new photos of her today. She is getting so big. I only have 7 weeks of school left. We are also going to Florida in May for our family vacation this year. I can’t wait!! We are spending a whole week at a condo on the beach! It’s going to be so fun and relaxing.

2-9-11 Well today we had no school due to weather conditions. Although we had no ice, just rain. I am really enjoying missing all this school lately due to the weather lol. I have been having migraine headaches since Saturday. It’s been absolutely horrible. I didn’t have one today so I am hoping they are over with now. I feel like I am falling apart since I had my surgery. I feel bad or am sick all the time now. I would like to go back to be healthy again. Ava has been doing well and never did catch anything. I am so thankful for that! I finished my observations for clinicals. Now I just have to finish the semester. Oh how I am ready for that!

1-30-11 Well I am finally all healed from my surgery and feeling pretty good. I still don't have energy though like I used too. Last week I had an allergic reaction to I don't know what and my lips swelled up and starting hurting badly. I had to go to the doctor and get a shot to stop all of it. I have no idea what I am allergic too though. I have been busy with observations for school. I will be completely finished with my 20 hours on Tuesday. I already applied for clinicals. I won't know anything for that tell like the end of May or June. Brian and I booked a vacation for May. We are taking Ava to Destin, FL and going to stay at a condo on the beach for a full week. I can't wait for that. School is sort of a drag this semester. Not much fun and the classes can be boring. I am already ready for this semester to be over. I have five classes, ceramics, human physiology, American history, college algebra, and allied health/saftey class. I will get all my certifications I need while in the allied health class like CPR and hippa. This winter weather is just horrible, we had a few days of 70's and it was sooo nice. I am ready for spring. I did get my new car and I love it. It’s very easy to drive and great on gas so it has really turned out to be a very good thing. Ava has been hanging in there with everyone around her getting sick and has yet to really get sick.

12-25-10 Well its been 8 days since my surgery. It has been really really tough. My incision got infected. I have been in more pain that I ever expected and mainly have been very tired. Today it the first day I almost feel normal again. I am ready to be back to my old self again. We are in Texas right now visiting family for Christmas. Ava has had a wonderful time and gotten so many new things. She is a very spoiled girl. We love seeing everyone though and glad that we made the trip.

12-15-10 So I finally found out all my grades for the semester. I got all A's!! I am proud of myself because this was my first semester full time. I will be making the dean's list too. I have my tubal surgery on Friday. Brian and me are driving almost 5 hours to the doctor. Its past New Orleans. We leave in the morning because I have to go to the pre-op appointment tomorrow. Hopefully it will all go well and I won't be in to much pain afterwards. Brian and me are hoping to start trying for another baby in about a year. That way I will be done with school then and Ava will be in school as well. Hopefully it will all work out somehow. I am a bit nervous about the surgery.

12/11/10- Last night was my induction into the Phi Theta Kappa honor society. It was pretty cool. I got invited to join the group because I am in the top 7% for my grades at BPCC. Also my GPA has to be above a 3.7. Mine is 3.9. Ava and Brian went to cheer me on. Brian also treated me to sushi beforehand!! I have such a wonderful family that supports me. Also I guess it really is a small world because while we were there we ran into Ava’s best friend! Her mother goes to BPCC too and works there. She was an inductee as well!!! Small world!

11-27-10 I have so enjoyed my break from school this week. Although I feel like I have been very busy the whole week. Little time for actual relaxation. I think I am going to book a massage soon though to make up for it. We took Ava to her first movie yesterday. We saw Tangled in 3D. She loved it!! It was a really good movie. The girls (Olivia and Viktoria) are down this week so them and also Peggy (nana) and Brian all went too. Ava did really well and stayed very still and didn't make a peep. She was so into the movie. We moved her today into Jakob's old room. Now she has a little bit more space to play. Although its really not much bigger then what she had once we got everything moved. It was a lot of work! I hope she likes it. She is with the girls and Nana right now so she hasn't seen it yet.

11-6-10 Times are very busy right now. I am at the end of the semester basically for school and having to study, study, study to keep my A's. I do have all A's though. I will make the Dean's list this semester since I am full time if I get all A's. I am super excited because the semester is almost over and the holidays are almost here. Right now Brian is sick this weekend. There is some horrible stomach virus that is going around and Brian has it. I hope he doesn't give it to me or Ava. I don't have time to get sick right now. I can't miss school either. I am all registered for classes in the spring already. I am taking Art-ceramics, american history, college algebra, health systems/Safety, and human physiology. I am taking the art class for fun. I wanted to take photoshop but the class times they had didn't work for me. So ceramics is my fun class. Since its free I try to take at least one fun class. Also it makes me full time so I get more grant money and can make the dean's list lol if I get all A's again. I am applying for clinicals in the Spring as well. I should know in April or May if I got accepted. I really really hope I do. They only accept 20 people each year though. We are really looking forward to going to Tx for Xmas too. Can't wait to see everyone. I am having a my tubal reversal a week before we go to Tx though so I will probably be in pain but oh well.

10/7/10- Just had my big 30th birthday. I was pretty depressed about turning 30. I still am actually. I don't want to get old. Brian tried hard to cheer me up though, he got me roses and a ipod touch, that I LOVE! Ava is having her photo done today at school. I can't wait to see how they turn out. I am working hard on my school work. I also starting going to therapy again. Lots of sad feelings still about Jakob's death. Other then that not much going on, just staying busy with school work. Pretty much stopped working out. My membership ends soon and I just don't have time for it like I did in the summer. Trying to still get exercise though by walking around campus.

9-6-10 We went for a fast trip to Tx this past weekend. My grandpa on my dad's side is turning 80 years old on September 9th. I got to see my aunt, cousin and a great aunt that I haven't seen since I was a small child. It was a really nice visit and I think we all enjoyed it a lot. We also got some great photos of everyone together. Ava had a ball playing with her cousin and another little boy her age that was there. It was really a nice time!

8-16-10 Well our break is just about over. Ava starts back at school Wednesday and I start Thursday. I am taking a photography class this semester! I am excited about it. Its just in intro on how to use my camera but its a start. We all had a blast in NY. We went a lot of place and did a ton of stuff while we were there. Ava said she liked the beach best. Long Island is so pretty, I can see why Kelli and Dan live there.

7-30-10 School is out for me and Ava right now. We have a good 3 week break. I ended up with an A in math and my first ever B in English. I am happy that semester is over, only two more semesters tell I start clinicals!! woohoo! We are getting ready for our trip to NY and very excited about it. We are hoping to have better weather there then the horrible heat here. Its suppose to be 102F here all week next week! YUCK! I am ready for this hot weather to be over. Ava had her first dentist appointment yesterday. She did really well with it but she does have two small cavities. So we will have to go back in the next few months ago to get those fixed.

06/29/10 School is crazy right now. Algebra is so hard and english isn't much better. I just want to get done with both of them. We are getting ready to go to Ny in early August. We are super excited! Its our first family vacation. Ava has been doing well in school. She will be moving up to a different class and start pre-school in August. I am finally going to get my tubal reversal done. It will be done in December this year. We aren't sure we will have another baby, I am getting it done in case we want to and because of Post Tubal Ligation Syndrome. If we do have another child it won't be tell I am done with school and have a job. Brian wants to stay home with the baby, so I told him I would gladly let him. I can be the bread winner for a while. If that even happens of course. I have been working out for almost a month now. I haven't really lost any weight but I am looking good so I am happy.
