12/26-12/28 We took a trip up to Alabama to see my friend Erika & her family (see pictures). She was staying with her Dad for Christmas. I had not seen Oscar (her youngest) because she was pregnant with him when we moved. Mimi (her oldest) remembered Ty & Adam. The boys remembered Mimi too. Mimi was dragging Ty around by the hand for a good hour. Erika's brother was there with his boys. Amari (his oldest) is in one of the pictures. The kids had a great time running around and playing. It was so great to see them again! I miss them!
I am sure most of you know that Adam had a rough start in kindergarten this year. He has an over-abundance of energy and the day is so long for him. They send home his planner every day to be signed. They have a grading system of 1 to 5 based on behavior. 1 being not good and 5 being great. Every child starts at a 3 and either goes up or down. For the first two months he was bringing home 2s & 3s. He could not sit still and had trouble paying attention. I went in and had a conference with Adam & his teacher so that we could explain what he needed to do to get a 4 or 5. For the past month Adam has been bringing home 4s & 5s. Mostly 5s. I can't believe the change. It is amazing. The best part, and the reason for me writing this story is that he came home with an award today. He came home with the Kid Of Character award for December for caring. He is so proud of himself and I am so overjoyed.
My baby with his certificate and ribbon:
Comments Hey Sara, that is such a great picture of Adam! And I add my pride to yours for his great adjustment! You did the right thing, mom. God bless you all. Lov, Aunt Barb -

We had a great time in Disney 12/5-12/7. Friday we went to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party which was lots of fun. There was snow falling on mainstreet and they were giving out Hot Chocolate and cookies. We didn't even get back to the hotel until after midnight. Saturday it was back to Magic Kingdom. We had a very packed day of fun. The Imagination Movers (they have a show on Disney) were there and Tyler got to meet Mover Rich. He was very excited. They were taping Kelly & Regis and Miley Cyrus was also there. It was a little packed, but we made the best of it. Sunday we went to downtown disney and the kids played at the lego place. Adam really liked the lego tables. We also went to ICE. It is a huge exhibit where everything is made of ice. It is 9 degrees in there which is way too cold for me. Lots of pictures from our weekend are in the smilebox photo show on the home page.
9/17/08 Tyler and I went to have lunch with Adam at his school. Adam was so excited to see us. Tyler had a great time and sat next to Adam at the lunch table just like a big boy. When it gets cooler we can go sit at the tables in the courtyard which will be a real treat!
8/20/08 Adam's first day of kindergarten. I dropped him off at the classroom. It was very hard to leave him. My little baby is a big boy. He did very well and was looking forward to riding the bus home.
8/18/08 We went to Disney for the weekend. It is too hot to do a theme park so we went to Tyhooon Lagoon. The boys had a blast. We also went to Old Town which had rides and go-karts. Adam enjoyed the go-karts, ferris wheel, swings and the scrambler. Tyler did the ferris wheel, but I am not sure how much he enjoyed it. We also went to The Putting Edge which was an indoor glow in the dark putt putt golf. Then we went to eat lunch at the largest McDonalds in the US. It was 2 stories tall and they sell bistro style food there as well as the normal McDonald menu.
We loved Disney so much that we already booked tickets for the Magic Kingdom and the Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas Party in December. I cannot wait to go. Another action packed weekend!
6/8/08 Adam is riding his bike without training wheels!

We had the best weekend. Jeremy's birthday on Saturday, the beach Sunday and today we went out on the river. We went out with some new friends on their boat. They have a 6 year old son named Dylan. We all had such a good time. It was the first boat ride for Adam & Tyler. They both did so good today. No complaining at all. Ty didn't even get his nap today and he was super good. We went out to the sandbar and the kids could get out and play in the water. They tied a raft up to the back of the boat and the boys jumped from it into the water. Eventually even Tyler got on the raft and played. Luckily he did not attempt to jump in the river off of the raft. We stayed there for a couple of hours before getting back on the boat and heading over to an island. We got out and explored for a little while. Then we cruised around in the boat for a while before coming back in. We had such a great time. Please see the pictures!
Tyler is talking so much you just won't believe it. Unfortunately my little angel has also decided to start having temper tantrums regularly. He is so dramatic. He throws himself down and puts his arm over his face. Adam thinks that this is hilarious!
3/17/08 Where else can you have a water Easter Egg hunt? The kids had a great time. They each got candy and a little prize. Tyler didn't understand why he could not stay and play at the pool, but he got over it once he saw the candy. Tyler gave the Easter Bunny a high five, but I was not fast enough to catch it on camera. Adam held true to his extreme dislike of large mascot type costumes and kept at least six feet between himself and the Bunny.
We made our move from Maryland to Florida and we are now getting the house set up and boxes unpacked. Jeremy starts his new job on Tuesday. The kids are doing very well and love going to the beach as you can see from the pictures. A big plus is that they sleep very well after spending time at the beach. We miss everyone back in Maryland!
I am learning how to add videos to the site. My first addition is Adam wishing everyone a Merry Christmas. It was hard to get him to do this for me, so we will have a learning and cooperation curve.

Ty gets his first haircut on 11/19/07. He was not very happy about it, but did not cry or wiggle to much. He was very good about it. I hated cutting his baby hair, but he does look so cute with his new haircut!
8/25/07 was opening day for Soccer. 8am on Saturday morning! Adam had his picture taken with the team and then they played their first game. It was
hilarious to watch. The kids were all kicking the ball towards their own goal. It was so cute. They were getting the hang of it by the time it was over. You have to praise the coaches for there patience!
8/24/07 Tyler got his first pair of shoes. He would rather be barefoot (of course so would I), but he is doing very well walking in them. He is growing put to fast!
7/26/07 Tyler started walking 7/4/07 and gets around pretty good now. He is so proud of himself! It is hard to beleive he will be a year old in less then two weeks!
We went to Virginia Beach this weekend (6/9 & 6/10). It was Tyler's first time at the beach. I have pictures to post so look for them soon! We had a great time!
Tyler has been crawling since the end of April. He is pulling up on things and getting into everything now. Let's just say it is good that by the time he gets to my coffee mugs to dump them, the coffee is cold. He has unplugged the sewing machine numerous times and today he managed to open a drawer, pull out a package of light bulbs and open the package before we got to him. He is so quick. Adam was never into things like Tyler is. Mr. escape artist also likes to sneek out the door with his brother! We have our work cut out for us. He is so sweet though you can't help but adore him!

Butterfly
Garden. Adam and I sent away for the caterpillars for his butterfly habitat this year (he received it as a gift on his first birthday). We watched them change from caterpillars to butterflies. He also took them to pre-school to show his class. We let them go today (
5/15/07) and there is a great picture of Adam holding one of the butterflies as we let them go. Two of the butterflies were already making baby butterflies!
5/10/07 Adam & Tyler went swimming at Aunt Erika's. Adam had fun, but Ty found the water to be too cold. He liked sitting poolside! See the adorable pictures from our visit!
