February came and went so quickly. Stu went to a football conference one weekend. I had parent teacher conferences one week and Stu had them another week. It felt like we were never home. Despite the busy schedule Braxton met some huge milestones this month. He is finally beginning to crawl and is interested in trying to get to things. He is also saying Mama all the time. My personal favorite is that he can drink his bottle entirely on his own! Brennan is growing and changing as usual everyday. Her birthday is right around the corner and when we ask her what she wants all she ever says is cake! She is completely free of her pacifier except for when she goes to bed. Her favorite passy got a hole in it and she has hated it ever since so we definitely seized that opportunity. Every time she asks for a passy I say no what happened to yours and she says passy has a hole. Our next big goal with her is to potty train but we are not going to seriously attempt until summertime.

January 2008 After a relaxing Christmas Break things are back to usual at the Moeckel house.  Brennan continues to blow my mind.  Her vocabulary has skyrocketed in the past month.  She now says words that I had no ide she even knew.  Whoopsy Daisy and ribbit are some of my favorites.  Braxton had a scare and we had to take him to the ER on the 25th.  He had bronchilitis and is now taking breathing treatments and getting much better.  The kids are really starting to enjoy playing together without mom and dad constantly worrying that Brax is going to get hurt.  Hopefully their love for each other continues as they grow older.

December 2007 Braxton has definitely made the transition from baby to boy. He now enjoying sitting up and playing with lots of toys. He is even buff enough to fight for his toys when Brennan attempts to take them away. He is now eating two meals a day of baby food! And of course, he learned how to say Dada ( not Mama) , it just isn't fair. Brennan learns new words every single day and it never seizes to amaze me. My new favorites are baby food and be careful. She can completely go down the stairs on her own, very scary for me. We put her big girl bed on the frame, and she loves it. No more high chair for her either, she now sits in a chair like mommy and daddy and can tell you where everyone is supposed to sit for dinner. December was very hectic with five Christmases. We had our small family Christmas at home on the 23rd. One the 24th, Stu's family came to our house where the kids got incredibly spoiled. On Christmas day we paced up and went to Wichita to Stacey's house. We wanted to do something out of the ordinary after Grandma passing. A few days later we wnet Stu's large family Christmas where the kids got to play with lots of cousins.

November 2007 This month our family suffered a great loss, my amazing Grandma passed away on November 25th. She died peacefully in her home just as she wanted. Thursday, Thanksgiving Day was the last day that I was able to speak to her and her respond back. Her last request to me was that she wanted to hold Braxton. One Thanksigiving night Brennan was able to tell her "love you, night night". She enjoyed her last meal on Thanksgiving and spent the day with her family. Braxton is now all over the floor, rolling left and right. He is starting to have such a personality and loves to laugh. It is the loudest, gutbusting laugh I have ever heard come out of a babies mouth. Best of all he is sleeping at least nine hours a night! Brennan is learning new words every single day. She is now able to say four or five word sentences (that mainly start with "I want") and is able to count to ten! She is now is an official big girl bed with the frame and all instead of just a matress on the floor.

October 2007 Brennan was Minnie Mouse for Halloween although if you ask her she was Hot Dog because of the Hot Dog song they sing on her favorite show, The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Braxton was a baseball player thanks to a hat and some of mom's mascara.

July of 2006, when I was 4 months old was a busy month for me.  I got to experience my first Fourth of July.  I was in awe of the fireworks.  I stared the whole time and never made a sound.  I also eat big girl food for the first time this month.  Green beans, carrots, squash, and sweet potatoes were my first foods and I loved them all.  On July 17th, I rooled over for the first time from my belly to my back.  I also was trying really hard to sit up all by myself.

I took my first trip on Friday, March 17th.  It was Spring Break so me, mom, and dad took a road trip to Ellsworth and Hays to go to my grandparents house for the first time.  I was great in the car considering it was a four and a half hour drive.  On this trip, I got to meet a lot of my relatives for the first time.
