5/29/09: Today was Emma's last day of Kindergarten at Hope Lutheran. It's been an amazing journey watching Emma learn and grow socially & educational. We loved her teachers and the additionasl staff was very friendly to our whole family. We are so happ that we enrolled her there for her first year of school. She is now reading and writing very well and is also so matyure. She has her own personailty, a little of me and a little of Josh. She made friends very easily and is friends with everyone, she can change from playing with all the boys running and being crazy with them to the girls and be pretty and sassy! She had her graduation ceremony tonight, it was so sweet! After her program we had friends and family come over for a surprise ice cream party... her favorite!
5/25/09: Memorial Day weekend was a blast! We had such a great 3 day weekend! On Saturday we went to the Strawberry Festival and saw the parade, shopped all the little crafts and rode all the carnival rides. Uncle John & Aunt Jenn and the Wilkin family joined in our fun too! On Sunday we got up super early and drove down to Hatteras. We enjoyed spending the whoel day on the beach and lots of friends! Gavin really enjoyed riding on the beach in Daddy's truck, such a boy and Emma is such a beach gal, she was in the water almost the whole time and Colby slept pretty much the whole day while we were there (......not on the drive to and from though!!!). Monday was a nice relaxing day, we all slept in till 10 am, can't even remember when that's happened last!
5/18/09: Happy 29th Birthday Mommy!! Mommy's birthday was on Friday, her and Daddy got to go on a date to Busch Gardens, just the two of them! Uncle Michael and Auntie Barbara kept Colby & Gavin... and they made it thru it all, it was great practice for them, they were ready to give Colby back we think! On Saturday we had some friends and family come over to hangout for Mommy's birthday and then Emma & Gavin got to spend the night with Michael and Barbara and then even got to go to the Children's Musuem the next day! Our kiddies are so fortunate to have such a great Uncle & Aunt that takes the time to hangout with the kids when their available... and we're so lucky to have them take the kiddies here and there so that Josh & I also get a break.
We have such a great support group of family and friends! Thank you all for everything!
5/10/09: Happy Mother's Day! We have had a great weekend! On Friday Emma's school had a Mother's/Grandmother's Tea, it was so sweet, they served little treats, sang songs and even had super cute placemats that the children had all colored. On Saturday we had all the Mommy's come over and grill out, it was nice to hangout together and enjoy the nice warm weather and each other's company. We also got to go see Monster Trucks at the Beach! The kids loved it even though it was ridiculously H-O-T!! Gavin got a super cool Grave Digger hat that he loves wearing like his Daddy! On Sunday we got to go Strawberry picking again, but this time it was all of us and Uncle John & Aunt Jenn came too, we got yummy strawberries! We hope you all had a nice Mother's Day too!
5/4/09: It's strawberry picking time! We have been out a few times picking and we love it! Gavin and Emma sometimes eat more than we pick and bring home, but either way we all love to go! It's a nice dessert every night too!
Watch for more great pictures and leave us messages!
4/22/09: It's Emma's half birthday! We celebrated Jenn's birthday today and we all realized that it's also Emma's half birthday, what a crazy girl, she thought we should be celebrating with a party and presents... she's C-R-A-Z-Y!!!!! Gotta love it though, I wish we could for me too!
4/17/09: Spring is here! Soccer season has started and Josh is coaching Emma's U6 team, there's 9 girls, some have played before and some haven't, the girls all are getting along great and getting the hang of being a team! We got Busch Gardens season passes and went over the weekend, we had a great time and the kids really enjoyed the new Elmoland there, I'm sure we'll be going more frequently now that we have the passes. Gavin was fearless as we had figured, he really enjoyed riding all the rides and looking at everything. Emma also loves to ride still, but she is really loving playing all the games that are there, she is excited to be able to go on a Mommy Daddy date there with just her! Colby also did really well, he pretty much slept the whole time unless it was time to eat!
It's so hard to believe that Colby is already 9 weeks old, he's doing great, we went in for his 2 month check up and he was 11.5 lbs and 23 in long. All is well for him and we go back in June for his 4 month check up. He loves to smile at all of us, each of us can do something different to make him smile. He likes to be held a lot... and we mean a lot, but Mommy doesn't seem to mind so much since this is her last baby. He is now sleeping in Gavin's room in his crib, he is doing great, sometime even only waking once!
4/13/09: We had a fun-filled, very busy weekend! Friday all the Child Care kiddies and even some of the big kids had a picnic and our annual Easter Egg Hunt, they kids had a great time and got lots of goodies in their baskets, they even got to eat cupcakes for lunch because silly Ms. Jen forgot all the PBJ sandwiches that she had made for everyone at home! Friday night we got to dye eggs and play. On Saturday we got up and went to Hunt Club for their Easter Extravaganza! It was a lot of fun, there was the petting farm, tug of war, lots of games, all kinds of characters, an egg hunt of course and even sack races! Emma participated in her first sack race, she did very well, surprised the heck out of Josh and I since she's so so clumsy! Then Saturday night we had Nana's 50th birthday party! She had a lot of great friends and family come and it was also a nice night out without the kiddies! On Sunday morning we all got up and went to church and when we got home from church the Easter Bunny showed up... You wouldn't believe what he did in our house... he left a trail behind where his powered sugar had been spilling out of his pocket! The kids had a great egg hunt at home with all of our family! Check out our great pictures from our super filled weekend!
4/7/09: Emma lost her first tooth yesterday afternoon!!! You won't believe it, but the toothfairy came and let a huge glitter trail in her room and a nice note and two dollars in change!
Spring is here and we've enjoyed every last bit of it! We were out all weekend enjoying the nice weather at the beach and at the park after church.
4/1/09: Happy April Fool's Day! Gavin, Colby, Mommy & Daddy got to go see Thomas the Train last night! Gavin loved it, he owed and awed the whole time! He has yet to take off his cool new Thomas Condutor hat!
In trying to explain to Emma what April Fool's Day is Mommy told Emma that she was going to have another baby... Emma said WHAT!! Mommy are you serious, 4 kids will be way to much work for all of us. I can't believe it.... HAHA I said, April Fool's! Now she understands it! She actually played an April Fool's joke on Ms. Amy and Daddy, saying she was going to get her hair cut short because it was bothering her, the both fell for it, she was so excited to say April Fool's!
3/24/09: Colby smiled for Mommy!!!!!! Gavin dropped Mommy's camera and Mommy told Daddy she had to get it fixed or get a new one becuase it wouldn't be long before Colby smiled... sure enough the very next day what does he do! Least to say Mommy went out and bought a new smaller camera that night!
3/22/09: Nana & Papa Dell are here, and we're having a great time with them visiting. Emma & Gavin have been playing with them, going to lunch & walking the beach. We are so fortunate to have Great Grandparents that love to travel here to see us! Thank you Nana & Papa Dell for spending time with us, we are so happy you guys came to visit with us. We can't wait to see you guys again! Love you both very much!!
Great Job Nana & Michael for running in the Shamrock 1/2 Marathon, they did awesome! We are so proud of you both. Nana, keep up the good work!
3/15/09: Happy Anniversary to us! Josh and I have been married for 6 years and yes... we still love each other very much! We are so lucky to have each other, still up to this point we have not had any "true" fights/arguments, we have been able to work through everything calmly and always go to bed in a good mood telling each other I love you! We compliment each other very well! We see how lucky we are to have each other and three beautiful children! We got to go out shopping today and go to Mommy's favorite... Cheeseburger in Paradise for dinner!
3/10/09: Aw man...............Mommy has to go back to work!
I had off almost 4 weeks and it was wonderful! I wish I was able to be home all day all the time with the our children, even though I'm here all day with doing In Home Child Care I don't always get to spend all the one on one time with just my kiddies, I have to share them with everyone and it's can be hard sometimes. I do know how fortunate I am to be able to do what I do and still enjoy it which completely makes up for everything.
The Child Care kiddies all went over to Ms. Rya's house for the time I took off. They were all happy to be back and to meet Baby Colby, they are all doing great with all the changes too. They have been little helpers so far!
We are doing well with me being back to work so far. Colby has decided to not sleep long stretches at night anymore though, so hopefully we'll be able to get him back on track and go from there.
3/8/09: Happy 30th Birthday Daddy! We had a great "surprise" birthday party for Daddy at our house! We had all of our friends and family over for a pig roast, great food and a keg of beer! Daddy was surprised at how many friends we were able to get to come over... didn't know he had that many friends! Just kidding!
We had a great birthday weekend just for Daddy, we went to the beach for a walk, to lunch and out shopping!
2/27/09: We are all adjusting well to being a family of 5! Colby has had a bit of jaundice, but it is slowly disappearing... for now it just looks like he has a great tan! Gavin is doing so well, he hasn't shown any jealousy so far, we are so proud of him, he loves to give Colby his paci, help to change diapers and wrap him up and even hold him... with a little help! Emma is also doing well as we had figured, she loves to tell all of her friends at school about Colby and loves to show him off to everyone. She tells everyone that now we have three kids, which can be a lot to handle! HEHE!
We've had quite a few nice days which has been wonderful since I am still off of work, we've been able to go for walks, enjoy the park and have picnics!
2/22/09: Daddy graduated from the Apperentice School yesterday! We are so proud of him. Mommy, Colby, Emma, Grandma & Grandpa Wehr, Larry, Michael, Barbara & Nana all went to show their support! Colby did great thru the whole graduation he either slept or nursed! Gavin stayed home with Uncle John & Jenn and then they met us all for dinner at Daddy's favorite place...Charlie's Seafood. Lynn, Mike and the whole gang were able to join us for dinner too! Thanks for all the support guys!
2/18/09: We have a new baby brother! Colby was born on Monday, February 16, 2009 at 12:48pm! We are back home after a nice short 24 hour hospital stay and we are so happy to have a healthy baby!
Mommy was induced on February 16th. She and Daddy went to the hospital and they broke Mommy's water at 8 am, gave her pitocin at 9:30, and an epidural at 10 and Colby made his arrival at 12:48! Our Midwife Nell was absolutely wonderful! Mommy & Daddy were so fortunate to have great care!
Uncle Michael took the day off on Monday so he could stay home and help us out with Emma & Gavin, and Grandma Wehr had them Monday night and all day Tuesday. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful extended family to help us out! Thank you so much!
When we got home dinner was ready and there was plenty of food to last a few days!
2/15/09: We had a great Valentine's Day!! Emma & Daddy got to go see Monster Trucks at the Hampton Coliseum, Emma loved it, as did Daddy! We made heart shaped pizza to celebrate the day! We also went over to Grandma & Grandpa Wehr's to celebrate Pop-Pop's birthday and visited with family. We had a nice weekend being a family of 4! Mommy is been induced tomorrow morning! Mommy & Daddy are a little nervous, but excited at the same time!
You have until TODAY in which you can either gather your belongings and promptly vacate the premises, or wait until the final day. After which, you will be physically removed no later then February 16, 2009 from the property. You are being evicted due to breech of contract and destruction of property. Expansions only to the FRONT of the house, within reasonable limits, were discussed. Not only have these limits been exceeded, but additions to the back of the house were also made. Remodeling and gutting of the home were never approved, nor was changing the initial layout and base structure. And due to property damage, there are now leaks in both the upper and lower levels of the home. The landlord has also received numerous complaints about nightly disturbances. Any further problems will result in immediate and forceful removal.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Love,
Your Momma!!
