Last night was Jaron's belt test at karate. Jaron is now a tiger camo belt. but even better, he has now graduated into the big kid class at the karate school. Farewell Tiny Tigers!! Thank you to Auntie Patty and Angie for coming out to support Jaron at his belt test.

Happy April!! Today was Jaron's third karate tournament and was sponsored by his school. This was Jaron's first time sparring in a competition and he did such a great job!! He won a medal for the Best Kicks in his age/belt division. A special thanks to Auntie Barbie, Brookie, and Justin for coming to watch and help cheer Jaron on!! Enjoy the pictures and videos.

Sorry that it has been so long since I have updated here...between karate 3 nights a week, school, and various activities, sitting in front of the computer for longer than 5 minutes doesn't seem to happen very often. The biggest news in Jaron's life is that he is now a camo belt in karate (congrats Bubba) and just a few weeks ago had to get 5 stitches in his chin after a fall at school playing kick ball. Jaron is doing much better though...thanks for all the well wishes that were received!!

Wow, what a super slacker Mommy has been in keeping this site updated. These days life is super busy (not an excuse at all though) and it is one activity after another mixed in with school and school work.

Jaron is getting ready for Christmas and can't wait to see if Santa rewards him for his good behavior all year long. He has decorated the trees (one in the living room and bedroom), made a gingerbread house, participated in his school Christmas program so far and there are a few more activities that we will be trying to squeeze in in the next few days before Christmas.

Last, but certainly not least, please keep our family in your prayers during this time of year. It is with great sadness that on December 14, 2010 Mommy's brother, Patrick, passed away. He was a great brother and had just started to begin being a wonderful Uncle and he will be missed more than words can ever begin to explain.

Hope everyone had a great Halloween!! Jaron had a busy Halloween weekend...first Jaron got to compete in a competition at his karate school...in his costume. It was a lot of fun watching all the kids in their costume do such a great job with their forms. Then, Jaron got to go to a Halloween party (Mommy didn't have a camera for that event...sorry) on Saturday and Sunday he went trick or treating with his cousins. We had a great time and can't wait for next Halloween!!

Yesterday Jaron had his first karate tournament. Unfortunately Mommy had to work but Grammy was able to take Jaron and cheer him on. He did GREAT and took home a medal for "Best At Following Directions." WAY TO GO JARON!! He was so proud of himself that he even wore his medal afterwards to 7-11 and showed it off to the cashier...and he had ever reason to be proud. CONGRATS JARON!!

Today was Jaron's first day of FIRST GRADE!! All week long Jaron has been excited about school...shopping with Mommy for back to school supplies and uniforms. That was all until we pulled into the parking lot for school this morning then the water works turned on...BIG TIME! Jaron informed Mommy that he was "scared" and Mommy had to pull out all the stops to get him to stand in line with his friends. Mommy was worried all morning (today was just a half day) until I went to pick Jaron up and he was all smiles with his buddies from last year. One of the best things about a private school with only one class per grade, the same friends from year to year.

Jaron has been busy spending his summer in Texas with Daddy and his friends. They are doing all sorts of fun things...karate, summer camp, jumping on the trampoline, going to a baseball game...such fun stuff. Enjoy the new pics!!

Whew, what a GREAT passed few days!! We just got home from a wonderful trip in San Diego. On Sunday we went to Legoland with Grammy, Ryley, Kim, and Denny. We had such a fun time riding rides, seeing a few shows, and playing/building Legos. Jaron even got to spend some of his hard earned money on a Lego set he has been wanting.
On Monday, Grammy, Jaron, and Mommy spent the day at Sea World and what an adventure we had. We saw so many shows...Shamu, the sea lions, and the pet show (with dogs, cats, birds, and even a pig). The best part of the day was the backstage tour that we got to take and learn about penguins. We even got to meet a penguin close up and touch it and also got to go behind the scenes in the penguin habitat and see them up close...what a wonderful experience we had with that show.

Happy New Year!! Hope that everyone had a great holiday season and that 2010 is starting out well for you!!
Jaron had a great Christmas...Santa (and everyone else) was really great to Jaron and Mommy is still looking for places to put away his new toys. Let me know if you have room for storage. :)
Jaron and Mommy got to go to a birthday party at Las Vegas Mini Grand Prix...Mommy and Jaron had a BLAST driving super fast around the track. Jaron thinks Mommy is a crazy driver...but we had so much fun!! Jaron also loved riding all the other rides and playing the games inside. He is a master at winning tickets!!

Where oh where does the time go? Seems just yesterday was the start of Jaron's first year in school and now here we are at the end of 2009 and the middle of the school year.
Tonight Mommy and Jaron put up a Christmas tree in Jaron's room. He helped pick out all of the decorations and I think really likes that he has his own tree...with presents that he picked out and had wrapped himself (thank you Elf Shelf at school).

Yesterday we got to celebrate GrandPapa's 85th birthday (GrandPapa is Jaron's great-grandpa). Since he loves golfing, we decided to have a miniature golf party for him and everyone had a BLAST!! There was even a magician that put on a show before the golfing and dinner. Jaron volunteered to be the magicians helper and did the trick where coins came out of his ear...and even in his armpit. He thought it was so cool and had such a fun time last night!!

Brrr...it is starting to get chilly here in Las Vegas. Mommy went and bought Jaron a winter jacket, gloves, and hat this afternoon. The thermometer in the car read 58 degrees and this is not fun for out hot weather people. Keep your eyes open for pictures of Jaron in his cool winter gear.

Looks like we have a new backyard friend. On Friday and Saturday, Mommy and Jaron saw a little bunny in the bushes across the street and were very surprised to find that the bunny has now taken up home in our backyard. We left some food for it today and made a "found bunny" sign for the mailbox. This cute little bunny has to have a home since it is not scared of people. Jaron has decided to name the bunny Gracey, until it can be reunited with its family.

Happy October!! Can't believe that it is just about holiday season time!! Can't wait for Halloween here...can anyone guess what Jaron is going to be for Halloween??
This weekend Jaron got to go to a big kid birthday party and had a great time. He was so excited that they had a big trampoline and he jumped like a fool. Scared Mommy half to death but he loved it and keeps asking when he can do it again.
Today Mommy and Jaron had a bum day and just did some errands. We love going to the craft store and Jaron likes trying on the masks there. Be sure to check out his pictures from today.

Happy Thursday!!
Mommy is currently working a crazy schedule and if it is a night where I have to work the swing shift (2pm until 10pm), Grammy and Papa get to take care of Mister Jaron. Most of the time I leave Jaron a note or a paper to practice his letters. Well, tonight Jaron decided to leave Mommy a note of his own with his bathtub crayons in the tub. Check out Jaron's note (and yes, he spelled his last name right...the "W" was written in a light color). He is just the best!!

Yesterday Mommy and Jaron got to go to the circus. We were surprised at how close our seats were to the main event (Mommy was a little worried about the closeness of the elephants and was ready to run if need be). Jaron had a blast and also surprised Mommy by eating a whole thing of nachos all by himself. He says that his favorite part was the lions jumping through the fire ring but he also liked the man shooting out of the cannon (Mommy thought that was super cool...maybe she should join the circus).

Happy first day of school!! Today was Jaron's first day of kindergarten!! I have asked this so many times, but where does the time go? It is so hard to believe that our baby is no longer a baby, but officially a grade school kid. Holy smokes. Since yesterday was Mommy's first day of school too, Jaron was lucky to be brought to school by Grammy (and she will kill me for telling you all that she cried right there with him). Jaron shed a few tears but the teacher told me that quickly ended when they jumped right in to school work. Jaron loved kindergarten so much that he was mad at Mommy when I picked him up from after school care. Check back later today to see pictures of Jaron in his PE uniform (Tuesdays and Thursdays are PE days).
