These are the girls I spend a little time with each and every day. Is that strange to you? That's okay. I'm good with modern day living and blogging {blog stalking.}
It's so funny to me though. Because my blogging "besties" are all really opposite from each other. I like to think that I take a little bit of each of them and try to make my life a little more sunshiny.
****************************************************
Amanda Blake Soule. My very first blog that I fell in love with. My favorite things about her? Her old house and love of vintage and repurposing. Her strong sense of family. Her farm animals. Her kids in wool and Hanna. Two of her books are permanent fixtures in my living room.
Julie. Those bright colored and frequent family pictures. Her converse wearing-etsy jewelry-Matilda Jane loving-long thick hair that I'm currently trying to copy. Her great recipes. The fact that she openly admits she's just trying to keep her head above water everyday. Four kids will do that to a person :)
Kelle Hampton. A complete inspiration to mothers everywhere. She must never leave her camera home. When I feel uncomfortable taking pictures in public.. I think about her and how free spirited she is. She has the luckiest kids in the world whose days are filled FILLED with adventure. And to live in South Florida? Let's just say I live VICARIOUSLY through her :)
Megan. I about had a heart attack when I recently commented on her blog wondering about her new shower curtain and she almost immediately emailed me back. An email whose sender was "MEGAN DUERKSEN!!" It was like seeing a celebrity on the street. A total rush. If I could move into her house, I would. She has given me a love and appreciation for color that I never thought I had. Globes! Number 5... {well, it's 4 in this house :} and the idea of crafting in her home? If it didn't put me in panic anxiety mode,I would have to be on that list.
Once a day, without fail, I will visit these blogs. Obsessed? Well, maybe. I just like feeling inspired. A new post is a breath of fresh air. While I feel like I take something from each of them, I am always careful to remember that I am not them. I am me. I also have to be mindful to not let myself feel yucky for not having everything all together like these mamas do. Because I know that blogging is not always real life. Nobody writes about often they fight with their husband, how judgmental they are behind closed doors, or how hard it is to feel like they fit in.
A longer list. Of the blogs I visit weekly!
